The initiative was unveiled July 11, 2014 marking the beginning of Access Bank’s commitment to inspire, connect and empower women across Africa.

The W Initiative has empowered a significant number of women by providing them access to finance for their businesses, resulting in substantial economic growth and development. Women make up a substantial portion of our Access Bank account holders, reflecting our commitment to inclusive banking practices. Through the W Academy capacity-building programs, hundreds of thousands of women have received valuable training, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in various fields.
