The initiative was unveiled July 11, 2014 marking the beginning of Access Bank’s commitment to inspire, connect and empower women across Africa.

The W Initiative has empowered a significant number of women by providing them access to finance for their businesses, resulting in substantial economic growth and development. Women make up a substantial portion of our Access Bank account holders, reflecting our commitment to inclusive banking practices.

Through the W Academy capacity-building programs, hundreds of thousands of women have received valuable training, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in various fields.

3,346,857 women have received access to finance for business worth over $595Mn.
